Your Questions Answered in Queenstown

At Queenstown Cabin and Tourist Park in Tasmania, we want your stay to be as perfect as possible by putting your mind at ease prior to your stay.

We have set up an FAQs page to help you answer any queries you may have before arriving.

Do I have to pay extra for showers? No the cost of showers is included in the tariff.

Can I bring my dog? Well behaved dogs are welcome on our sites. Dogs and not permitted in cabins.

Why do you have so many gravel sites? Do the high number of rainy days in Queenstown, grass has difficulty growing and the gravel avoids the need to setup on muddy sites.

Do I need to pre-book a site? During our peak months of January, February and March, bookings are highly recommended. During other months we normally have sites available each night but sometimes we get large groups, so a booking will assure you of a site.

What time is check in/out? Check In is 12pm for sites and 2pm for cabins. Check out is 10am for sites and cabins.

Can I arrive after hours? Yes. Please ensure you contact the Park to let them know you will be late. We’ll provide you with instructions to access your pack, keys and map. Full payment is required prior to arrival.

What’s your guide dog/companion pet procedure? Guide and Assistance Dogs, and companion pets are more than welcome. We just need you to supply relevant registration documents and ask that your animal always wears their companion jacket.

Can I book tours or buy tickets through reception? No, but we are happy to assist you with recommendations.

What is in the camp kitchen? Our camp kitchen is open 24/7 and is equipped with most things you would find in your own home.

Booking Conditions Deposits A deposit is required to secure each reservation. For all bookings, a deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation/site rate must be paid at the time of making the reservation. Reservations will not be guaranteed without a deposit. We accept Visa and MasterCard for online and phone bookings.

Cancellation/ Booking Policy Cancellations relating to COVID-19 or a Natural Disaster: We offer flexible booking arrangements for those impacted by COVID-19 or a natural disaster and allow for changes to stay dates, 12-month credits. Credits: Monies paid against a booking that has been cancelled as per the cancellation terms can be held in credit for a future booking. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date a booking was cancelled.

General terms Queenstown Cabin & Tourist Park does not accept bookings from persons under the age of 18 years of age. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent or guardian. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation where this condition is not met.
